Precise dwell control ensures a high standard of finished product

When Fonmar, a world-leading manufacturer of vulcanising presses based in Jaén, Spain, needed an improved control system, they turned to long-term partner Omron.

Fonmar’s presses use heat and pressure to join or repair conveyor belts or tyres, and they wanted a system to provide the more accurate pressure and temperature control needed for new materials. They also wanted a smaller solution with a more user-friendly control interface, to make their new machine more compact and easier to operate.

As well as delivering precisely what was needed, Omron incorporated these features into its E5GC temperature controllers. Here, Daniel Jimenez, Fonmar’s general manager, explains that, with the E5GC controller, the company’s new GAMMA press stands out in a highly competitive market sector.
