Install Omron Photosensors Ten Times As Fast!

With their innovative SecureClick snap mounting system, the new E3FZ photosensors from Omron Electronics are typically ten times faster to install than ordinary square sensors, and three times faster to install than conventional cylindrical sensors. By dramatically reducing the time needed for installation, the new sensors provide big cost savings, especially on large installations.

No nuts and screws anymore!

The novel mounting system used with E3FZ sensors completely eliminates the need for nuts and screws – the sensors simply click into place in a suitably drilled hole. Despite its speed and ease of use, however, the SecureClick mounting system has been extensively evaluated and shown to be secure even when exposed to high levels of vibration.

Omron's new high-performance sensors feature the popular space-saving short-body M18 cylindrical format, and incorporate high-intensity LED light sources for enhanced sensing range. They are manufactured to close tolerances with minimal optical axis deviation, which guarantees ease of alignment.

Like all of the other photosensors in the Omron E3F family, the new E3FZ models feature Omron's proven photoelectric sensing module that ensures long and reliable operational life even under arduous operating conditions.

Maximum durability

The new sensors feature robust plastic bodies that are laser welded to maximise durability. They have an IP69K ingress protection and impact rating, and an operating temperature range of -25ºC to +55ºC, making them suitable for all types of industrial application.

E3FZ sensors are available in through-beam versions with a maximum range of 15m, retro-reflective versions with a range of 4m and diffuse reflective versions with a range of 1m. Models with background suppression are also available, and these have a maximum operating range of 20cm.
