New versatile and highly customisable updated 3G3RX inverter drives

These new drives are available with ratings up to 132 kW, feature an extensive range of built-in application functions, such as brake control, bypass motor control, orientation stop and automatic energy saving optimisation for fan and pump applications. The RX can handle simple positioning tasks without the need for an external motion controller; among the facilities offered for positioning applications are homing and position teaching. The drives can be switched instantly between speed and position control, as required. Additionally, a simple to read and set 5 line LCD text operator is standard. Ten languages are supported, and a real time clock and calendar are also included. |

Built-in advanced functionality
The 3G3RX has built-in application functionality and configurable user programming.
- Simple positioning is handled by the inverter without the need for an external controller. Functions include pulse train position control mode, homing and position teaching.
- With Electronic Line Shaft synchronisation it is possible to achieve master and slave position locking, again without the need for an external controller or special firmware.
- A series of dedicated functions for brake control are included as standard in the 3G3RX series.

Drive Programming
Each 3G3RX inverter includes as standard a specific memory area allowing the user to create programs within the 3G3RX, without the need for an external PLC or other controller. All onboard I/O can be utilised, and a host of functions are available to build the program. Either flow chart or Text editor styles can be chosen, and up to 5 tasks can be used, all running in parallel.

Excellent motor control performance
Motor control is optimised in the 3G3RX thanks to features such as sensorless (zero Hz domain) control or high starting torque offering up to 200% at 0,3Hz and of course, full torque control in close loop vector control mode. Alternatively, cost savings are maximised through the energy saving function or Double rating in suitable fan and pump applications. This is in addition to the user being able to determine the volts/ frequency setting of the inverter. Micros surge voltage protection is a standard feature protecting the motor from damage caused by voltage peaks caused by PWM inverter drives.

Uncompromising Omron quality
The 3G3RX is designed to be maintenance free for up to 10 years and as a consequence of the proven reliability and quality of the inverter, a 3 year warranty is given as standard.
Sometimes though, if required, the inverter has to be installed in harsh conditions, the inverter lifetime can decrease. In this instance, component life warning messages will advise the user that maintenance is required, thereby ensuring machine or plant uptime is maximised.

Fieldbus option
There are numerous Fieldbus options available for the 3G3RX series inverter drive, ensuring it becomes an integral part of the overall machine.
EtherCAT, DeviceNet, Profibus, CompoNet and Mechatrolink II are options, whilst Modbus is built-in as standard.
