Inspection
In semiconductor manufacturing processes, inspections take place both with wafer level and at IC chip level. In wafer processes, inspections such as surface analysis, wafer probing and wafer bump inspection take place to avoid that defective products proceed to the next step. As a final process, when the IC chips are completed, electronic tests take place before shipping. After chips are exposed to high temperatures and voltages, they are placed on a test machine to see if any problems have occurred.
