Mixing drum
The sensor is used to confirm the orientation of the mixing drum before the next load of materials can be added to start the process again.

The E2FM & E2FD are designed for use in the food industry with either a stainless steel face in the case of the E2FM or anti-microbial plastic in the case of the E2FD. This makes them resistant to dirt and microbes associated with food production.

When the drum is closed and in the correct position the timing starts, the timer can be set to be red during the operation showing that it should not be touched, then turning green once when timing is complete. This gives an immediate visual indication of the process status even if it can not actually be seen.
