Omron’s extensive experience in this field includes packaging plant installations where sensors reduce wastage and conserve energy by supplying cleaning materials only when bottles and cans are detected.

In the semiconductor industry, Omron technology is at work in several areas. For instance, detecting objects in wet conditions where mechanical sensors would damage delicate glass wafers. Also for leakage/level detection in liquids where pure water and certain chemicals are not easily detected and conventional methods fail.
